McDonald's of Guam & Saipan donates $25K to RMHC Hawaii Houses

McDonald's of Guam and Saipan hosted its first annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Golf Tournament on Saturday, December 11th at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort. The tournament was organized with a goal of raising funds to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Hawaii. More than 5 years ago, Owner/Operators Jose and Marcia Ayuyu visited the RMHC Houses in Hawaii. They had the opportunity to tour the 2 houses on the island of Oahu, meet the children and their families as well as network with the RMHC Leadership.

Their experience forever changed them and they were determined to find a way to support the RMHC houses and the work that they do to "keep families together" during the most difficult of times. Ayuyu, an avid golf player, came up with the idea to host the Golf Tournament on his home island of Saipan.

The event drew in the support of various organizations throughout the CNMI and Guam. Approximately 144 players participated in the tournament. To close the tournament, the Ayuyu's presented a $25,000 check to RMHC Hawaii. On behalf of our entire McFamily, we'd like to extend our sincerest gratitude to each and everyone that supported our 1st Golf Tournament and helping us further the programs and services that the RMHC organization does for families.
